Owners nice. Food is better here. But I was promised a pizza from the old place just don't feel right asking for it now that the pizza is better. But I do LOVE the taste of brick Oven
The food was cold and not that great tasting. Service was very slow. Really not worth the money for pizza.
Would give 5 but the pizza is kind of thin sometimes.
Just opened, but what a let down. Very limited menu. Paper plates, no utensils. Almost cafeteria style. Pizza was overdone and not particularly good. It's a beautiful, brand new building, so much potential.
Excellent pizza, great service and delicious coffee
Carinis Brick Oven has not only a peaceful and inviting atmosphere this place has wonderful and extremely friendly people ready to serve to make the experience one you won’t forget and like the homemade icing on some of the treats to top all of it off the food is incredible. Pizza best in the area. Sandwiches leave you wanting another bite. We are so blessed to have a place like this 10 min from our home.
Best pizza around, fantastic Italian meals with great home made baguettes. Excellent, friendly service. Great ambiance to enjoy when they able to open up again to in house dining
I am so glad we stopped by and ate at Carini's! What a hidden gem! The food was way beyond expectations especially for the area. We felt like we are home, in Brooklyn! Pizza phenomenal, sandwiches and pasta extremely tasteful. Very generous portions with more than reasonable prices. Finally as pleasant was to briefly meet the young owner it was sad to find out also that a great looking place suffer from local regulations and not to be able to have full sit down service and active bar! We hope things go his way and we will definitely visit again!
Have only ordered their pizza, but was not disappointed! I went on your website and I loved what I saw.So excited to have you so close in proximity to my home in Hemlock away from home in NYC. I am so looking forward to being able to walk into your restaurant and continue to enjoy your wonderful food, and customer service.
Gluten free pizza was very good. Homemade dough for sandwiches are great. Friendly people highly recommend.
S-L-O-W , expensive, some specialty pies were terrible, broccoli Raab was hard to bite/chew
Only place around that roasts their own coffee beans. Great matcha tea imported straight from Japan. Most everything is made from scratch. The quality of the food will tell you that much. Love the maple macarons. Highly recommend!
Incredible gourmet pizza. Arugula, prosciutto and cheese. Nuf said.
Friendly staff, and great drinks. Their sandwiches were fantastic. We will come back on another occasion for their coffee (they roast themselves)
terrible restaurant. it’ was a nice atmosphere service was somewhat fair, but it took an hour just to get the food. when we got the food, it wasn’t cold, but it was terrible. my whole family was nauseas & throwing up. it was terrible. the utensils were dirty & they didn’t even bring them until we asked. strongly suggest not going there unless you have too. one thing i learned in 2020, never go back to Carinis.
No waitress service and disappointing menu. I liked the other restaurant better for service and quality. I ended up walking out and going to Balches
Best Italian Food in the area....BY FAR!
Delicious pizza. Highly recommend a personal pie to anyone - good portion & ability to customize. I really enjoyed the gelato as well but I hope the business owner considers switching using wasteful styrofoam containers for the environment! Thank you nonetheless for being open Carini
I’ve been twice- once to dine in and once to take out. Food was amazing both times. The calamari & chicken francese. Also the only place I’ve been in PA that roasts their own coffee, makes their own breads and even gelato. This stuff doesn’t come from a frozen box which is hard to come by these days now... wish I was closer by
I seriously was disappointed. Expected a lot more food for the ridiculous prices. The NY style pizza was so thin i questioned whether there was even a pizza in the box it weighed nothing. The caesar salad was really nothing great for $11 i at least expected a decent portion of chicken on it. The spicy calamari was so small, definitely not worth the price. It was worth a shot but I get better pizza at Pete's Pizza in Gold Key.
Good food, good service.
I’ve always loved them and always will. Their pizza’s and dishes are yummy. As well as their Butternut Squash Spinach soup!! Great for an appetizer in winter
Great food/service....Server was from my neigherhood...
Food was excellent, the restaurant looks great , service is where it all falls short . Served an antipasto on a board , gave us knives and forks , had to ask for a plate. They use all paper plates. Desert , they did not clear off the table till after they served coffee. High class looking pizzeria.
Just wow as good as our artichoke pizza in nyc
Great pizza, so many choices and great service !
Best broccoli garlic white pizza!
Took the family in tonight, started with the spicy calamari..very good, not too hot ,great heat at the end. Next, we had the old world pizza..WOW.. It was fantastic , to say the least.. Doesn't get any better than that. Then the wife and I decided to finish it off with some Americano coffee..superb. Great people and staff!!
Not one too write review but this cafe is beautiful... went this weekend and they were busy. Full bar and cocktails were spot on, the menu is very well thought out and food was delicious. Had the calamari-fantastic as well as the chicken saltimboca. We also had their coffee thats roasted there, they are extremely knowledgable about it too... 10/10 and will be back
Terrible service. Have to order food at the bar. We had a party of 8 we tried to put 2 tables together. We were told that we could not move the tables that we had to sit as the tables were set up. It was so ridiculous, it was a matter of moving the tables 2 feet. So so disappointed that we left. It’s a shame because we use to eat at the Other one before they move. I will never set foot back. Rather go to Brothers Bruno’s or Oregonatas.
Very good penne a la vodka as well as excellent spicy calamari. If you can get past the high NY type pricing, it is worth a stop.
The building is beautiful in and out. The indoor color selections combined with the mellow music makes you relax instantly. But - enough about the building!I had Mediterranean Shrimp Salad that was perfectly chilled without being too cold. Every piece was fresh and the overall salad had a great variety of color and foods. Home made dressing just added to the excellence of this selection. I would order this again and again!!I also had Garlic/Spinach pizza that had a perfect thin crust, great garlic taste and the spinach was fresh. I did order Apple Caramel pie that looks like a work of art ( it is said that you eat with your eyes first). Again, perfect combination of sweet and slight salt taste. I’m ordering one of these for Thanksgiving dessert. My last treat was Matcha Tea Latte, a rare find in Pike County! Perfect tea to end a perfect meal. Carini Brick Oven has it all!! So glad they are here!!
If you've never been here, you need to stop in. Modern, cozy, and classy. It is a hidden gem with indoor and outdoor dining. There is plenty of space inside. The service is above and beyond. There is an array of beer, wine, and liquor to try. The food is homemade and incredible. The price is correct for the service and warm hospitality that you receive. You will wonder why you didn't go sooner. If you're looking for somewhere to take a girl out to on a date, this is a good place.
It is very nice to have such a beautiful place right at the entrance to our Hemlock Farms Community. The food and service are exceptional!
Wow! Love these pies! "Old World" is my New Favorite 🤣 and I mean that. The team is wonderful, very quick and friendly. Even opened the door to drop the pizza in back seat for us. We are new to area and love making our own pizza. This however has become an insta favorite. If you know of any great dishes we need to try, let me know. I'm looking forward to getting back into the restaurant when it opens back up. For nowz the to-go is on fire! 🔥💯
Very disappointed!! I was hoping for a nice dinner with my husband on Saturday night around 6 and when we got there, the chairs were up on the tables in the dining area. We also had to go up to the bar to order our food which they didn't even pay attention to us so we left to eat somewhere else. I miss the old Carini's, they had great service!
I have no idea what some of these other reviews are talking about. Are they rating the food? Or how many parking spots are available?!? Seriously?!? Look, the pizza is delicious. The bar has a good selection of craft beers and the staff are VERY friendly. You can tell a lot from a plain pizza and in my opinion they know what they are doing in the pizza game.
Best food in town! Consistently delicious!
What a rip off. $14 for the smallest and thinnest pizza I ever had, better off with DiGiorno. When I was handed the box I thought it was empty. They changed their name to Cafe and over season with Oregano and jack up their prices. I bet the other reviews are the owners because this was a waste. Calamari was cooked well but they gave us no sauce for it, and the portion was tiny. I will not be back again. This was an Insult to NY Brick Oven Pizza. I grew up in NY and this pizza even folded was still not as thick as a NY slice.
Very good eggplant and mozzarella sandwich for lunch. They have a good selection of dishes on the menu. Very clean and attractive decor.
Always an outstanding meal! Great menu selections - fresh, flavorful and creative. Wine selection is also good. The new table service is quite good too. Love the open environment! Thank you for the great food, environment and service! Will keep coming...
We had been previous customers and decided to go for dinner. As a matter of fact, we've now been twice. We had a house salad (generous size) and Broccoli Garlic pizza...delicious! Also had the calamari which my husband and I split as an appetizer. It had a few fried hot peppers tossed in which was a nice surprise. The pies looked great and the apple pie was very good. Great atmosphere at night, low light and soft music. Responsive friendly staff. We will definitely be going back to try the specialty pizzas. So glad you've finally opened!
I would call this place a very good Italian restaurant!
